Ripply Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tommy Buonomo ("we", "us") handles information when you use Ripply, including its mobile and web versions.

Information we process

• Local game data: puzzle progress, notes, preferences, completion history, and best times are primarily stored on your device.
• Service identifiers and technical data: Ripply creates an account identifier to deliver puzzles and operate online features. Our servers may process request timestamps, platform information, and IP addresses. A pseudonymized IP hash may be retained for rate limiting, security, and abuse prevention.
• Community data: if you explicitly join the Ripply community, we process your consent record, chosen username, puzzle and difficulty identifiers, completion times, attempts, best scores, and eligible completion history used for rankings.
• Optional recovery email: you may add an email address to secure and recover your community profile. It is used for authentication and recovery messages, not marketing.
• Analytics, advertising, diagnostics, and purchase data: depending on your platform, consent, settings, and the features you use, service providers may process device or advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, advertising data, purchase status, performance data, and diagnostics.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• provide puzzles, save progress, and operate app features;
• authenticate and recover profiles;
• calculate community statistics and leaderboards;
• maintain security, enforce quotas, and prevent abuse;
• understand and improve Ripply's reliability and features;
• display and measure advertising where applicable; and
• manage purchases and ad-free entitlements.

Community visibility

Your username and leaderboard results may be visible to other players. Your email address is never displayed on leaderboards. Joining the community is separate from analytics consent and is optional.

Service providers

Ripply uses service providers that process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Depending on your platform and usage, these may include:

• Supabase for authentication, puzzle delivery, and community data;
• Google Firebase for configuration and analytics;
• Amplitude for product analytics;
• Appodeal and its advertising partners for ads and ad measurement;
• Meta for app event and advertising measurement;
• RevenueCat for purchase entitlement management;
• Google Play services and Google Play Games; and
• Apple services, including Game Center and in-app purchases.

Retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app. Community data is kept while you participate. You can leave the community from the profile settings in Ripply; this deletes the community profile, attempts, and ranking records associated with it. To request deletion of an authentication account or recovery email, contact us at the address below. Security, transaction, and service-provider records may be retained for the periods necessary to meet operational or legal obligations.

Your choices

You can use Ripply without choosing a public username or adding a recovery email. You can decline or withdraw community participation and analytics consent independently. Device and platform settings may also let you limit advertising tracking, notifications, and other permissions.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls and restricted server-side data access. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children's privacy

Ripply does not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Ripply or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
